SI PREGA DI NON DISCUTERE DI CASA DI BAMBOLA

In this piece the main necessity is that of confronting oneself with a form. A form that in itself is the bearer of contents otherwise difficultly expressed. When I speak of contents I am not referring to narrative contents (those of a story) but rather contents that the form in its specific nature holds on its own.
The form in this case, the principal structure, is the dialogue and its specific structure that we desire to investigate.
The dialogue as a precise form, in its relational structure is the bearer of contents. It creates an energy, a dynamic, of a different substance than that of monologue or of lyric poetry. Its potential seems self-revealing in the relational system that it goes on creating in its own unraveling. This form is particular, characteristic, and in this, it is its own contents, and it is that which we desire to investigate.
To be more precise, we desire to uncover, to bring forth, the significance that this form holds. "Enrik Ibsen, apart from a few small works, never wrote more than drama. Often the dramatization was spontaneous, natural and necessary."
In these brief words, Croce (perhaps even without intention), reveals the necessity of the intrinsic contents of the form even before the expressive, making evident that it indeed posesses its own content, and it is that which we desire to investigate..
