Let’s face it; keeping that little bundle of joy grinning from ear to ear isn’t, well, child’s play. The thing is, children get bored quite fast with a routine. It becomes even trickier if they’re home all day. The following tips will help you ensure that your kids stay entertained while allowing you to keep sanity.

Teach Them How to Cook

Kids love to engage in any activity that arouses their curiosity. One of the easiest ways to do so is to let them into the kitchen to try out various recipes. It can be as simple as allowing them to get stuff from the fridge. Depending on your child’s age, you may challenge him or her to make chocolate bars or decide how they want you to prepare their sandwich.

Teach Them How to Write Short Stories

There’s no problem in allowing your children to showcase their creative prowess. You can narrate a story and let the young write it down. Alternatively, you may leave them to use their imagination to come up with a story. And if you want to keep them really engaged, you may write parts of the story in turn.

Your child will write one paragraph, and you’ll write the other. Be sure to read out the entire story to make it even more fun.

Take them to a Swing Set

Kids love swing sets, and it makes perfect sense to invest in one. The beauty of it is the fact that everybody can be part of the fun with a swing set. Plus, it helps improve your child development and cognitive abilities.

Note – when buying a swing set, look for one that can accommodate your kids for years to come. It should have a robust design and of course within your budget estimates. Go to Swing Set Fun to sample a collection of swing sets that promise to meet your expectations as well as those of your children.

Dance – Together

Surprise your kids with a dance party on in a while. Just get a compilation of their favorite songs and invite them into a dancing competition.  Let them do most of the dancing, though. You may also consider requesting other children from the neighborhood to join in to make it a fun-filled. One more thing, don’t forget to provide enough drinks and bites for everyone.

See? It’s not that hard to entertain your children. Of course, these aren’t the only activities on the list.
